The Holiday Wonderland Event in the Village of Del Mar offers the perfect opportunity for the whole family to come together and enjoy a true old-fashioned celebration.

The event is rich in activities and allows families to create long lasting memories to treasure for years to come. 

The day can begin with a visit from Santa along with photos and frames to capture the magical moment. The children can then enjoy a good time at the Bully's Fun Zone offering face painting, a jumpy and giant slide, carnival games and even an obstacle course. 

Other fun activities include horse and carriage rides, cookie decorating and ornament making. 

You can enjoy live music and food tasting at over 20 participating Del Mar restaurants.  Food vendors will also offer fun treats such as cotton candy, hot dogs and popcorn, amongst others. 

The Holiday Wonderland Event also offers an exciting selection of holiday entertainment.  Enjoy holiday songs from the carolers, music from local school choirs, jazz bands and dance performances!

This year the festivities were held between 1pm and 5pm on Sunday December 6^th, 2009.  This is an annual event so if you missed out on all the fun this year, make sure to mark your calendars for next years Holiday Wonderland!

The City of Del Mar and Del Mar Village Association has teamed up to encourage downtown Del Mar holiday shopping and dining. 
Just in time for the holidays, the City of Del Mar is offering 5 FREE DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY PARKING DAYS. The FREE ALL-DAY HOLIDAY  PARKING PROGRAM for the downtown Village includes 15th Street, the parking under L'Auberge Del Mar and extends from 15th Street to 4th Street along Camino Del Mar. 

This promotion takes place on the following days: Saturday, December 13, Saturday, December 20, Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Thursday, January 1.

Initiated by the Del Mar Village Association (DMVA) and unanimously approved by the Del Mar City Council, visitors and residents will see signs on downtown meters and parking signs indicating FREE ALL-DAY PARKING on the specific days.

The Del Mar Plaza has validated parking every day and downtown parking is free after 6pm every night of the week. 

Beat the malls, come for holiday shopping in downtown Del Mar and stay for a lunch or dinner!

Pacifica Del Mar is hosting this Vintner Dinner benefiting the revitalization efforts of the Del Mar Village Association on Sunday, November 16, 2008. The evening will feature the fine wines of the Markham Vineyards.

The evening begins with cocktails and an appetizer reception at 6pm until 6:45pm followed at 7pm by a four course dinner with wine pairings. The exquisite dinner, created by Pacifica's Executive Chef Chris Idso, will emphasize the unique personalities of each distinct wine. Craig Henriksen from Markham Vinegards will be the guest speaker on the wine selections.
